The course would suit those who are:

  • taking up ukulele for the first time and need guidance and inspiration
  • looking for a smaller, more manageable instrument as a first step towards playing guitar
  • already learning guitar and want to widen their musical palette and enhance their skills

There are two options available:

  • Ukulele Construction: Open to all (from age nine upwards) begins on the Friday evening and continues on Saturday and Sunday. Students will build and decorate their own ukulele, with guidance from our qualified tutors and guest artist. They will then learn how to play some popular tunes on their new instrument to impress family and friends. This option can accommodate a wide range of experience levels from beginner upwards – anyone who wants to have fun building their own unique ukulele! Price ONLY £85.00
  • Beginners Ukulele: Open to all (from age six upwards) is taught across two days - Saturday and Sunday - and will focus on learning the basics of playing the ukulele and mastering some popular tunes.  Price ONLY £60.00

Students attending the Learn to Play option will need to bring an instrument with them. You can order one of our excellent value ukulele starter packs through our website here.

Whatever your motivation, you will benefit from our expert tuition, make friends with like-minded individuals, make great music and have lots of fun!

It is not necessary to be able to read music or play any instruments before signing up to this course – all experience levels are welcome.
