BYC joins BBC's Big Weekend

In January 2010, Berkshire Youth Choir will join forces with the BBC Singers for a special concert in the BBC’s iconic Maida Vale studios – the perfect way to beat those New Year Blues!

Featuring music from James MacMillan and Ligeti to Simon & Garfunkel, the concert will culminate in a joint performance of Poulenc’s highly-charged Mass in G.

Dear students and parents of BYC We have just had a message from the BBC about the rescheduled concert on 6 February.  Unfortunately the BBC system cannot simply move the tickets to another date so everyone will have to reapply for tickets.  They will be available online sometime today and they will hold off from issuing a public mail shot until parents have a chance to book places for the concert.  You will need to be quick off the mark and check the website as soon as possible. With that in mind we shall have to go through the whole coach process once again.Please indicate number of seats required (parents will be offered seats on a first come first served basis).Please indicate pickup/drop off point – Stoneham, Reading or OLC BracknellThe fare will be £10.00 per person return Details of the coach journey are as follows: SATURDAY 6 FEBRUARY 20100930:    Students/parents arrive at Stoneham Court 1000:    Coach leaves from Stoneham Court for Maida Vale TV Studio, London 1020:    Pick up students/parents from Bracknell Music Centre1200:    Arrive in London1830:    Coach leaves for a return journey back to Stoneham Court2010:    Drop off at Bracknell Music Centre2030:    Arrive back at Stoneham Court Bracknell Music CentreOpen Learning Centre
