BBC Singers day
On Friday 21st November, members of Berkshire Youth Choir (BYC) and Senior Girls Choir (SGC) spent the day at the BBC Maida Vale studios, where they took part in a workshop with the BBC Singers. Click on 'read the complete article' for more details, quotes and photos.
BYC and SGC were first treated to a performance by the BBC Singers, Britain's only full-time professional choir. They then spent the day working on their own and new repertoire, led by Peter Asprey (Maestros teacher) and Neil MacKenzie, a member of the BBC Singers. It was a wonderful opportunity to do some last-minute fine tuning of the repertoire for the Wokingham concert the following day, as well as developing sight-reading skills with new repertoire.
