Bracknell Music Centre's South Berkshire Youth Brass Band put in a thrilling performance when they took part in the Schools Prom at the Royal Albert Hall on Wednesday 11 November. SBYB were invited to the Schools Prom having taken part in the National Festival of Music for Youth at Symphony Hall, Birmingham earlier this year.

As part of the programme, they performed a joint piece Jai Ho - Dil Laga Na (from the hit film Slumdog Millionaire) with The Notorious Dholi's, an Indian Drumming Band from Windsor Boys’ School (coincidentally led by a distinguished former Maestros student and leading member of the Dawsons Berkshire Youth Brass Band, James Fussey).

Following this exhilarating number, SBYB really shone as they performed two movements from Peter Graham's work Windows of the World under the baton of their Musical Director, Marc Edwards.
