Music and literacy courses

See the range of courses we have offered recently as well as application forms for courses planned for specific dates throughout the Summer and Autumn Term 2008.

If there is a something specific you are interested in or particular professional development requirements, please contact dawngarside@berkshiremaestros.org.uk - we would be pleased to discuss your dates and requirements.

Maestros will also be delivering a series of family learning workshops and adult education courses to start in the next academic year. We have been approached by two UAs to work in partnership to deliver a broad range of activities. We have highly experienced adult education tutors who are also QTS to run these courses. All course tutors have between them a combination of the following experience/qualifications.... ofsted inspectors, music directors for other LEAs, leading practitioners in adult education, keynote workshop leaders/presenters for organisations such as the National Association of Music Educators (NAME) and the Federation of Music Services (FMS).

All tutors prepare their course content with the delegate in mind (generalist classroom teacher, specialist, TAs etc). All courses provide the attendee with resources and/or instruments/books/music, refreshments and lunch. We provide a lovely venue so that our delegates can move out of the school environment. Therefore the cost does not only reflect the tutor fee. You might want to attend just one of our courses so that you can see for yourself how we are different!
